Expede work with institutions not only to implement change but to help develop the change strategy and programme, to ensure it is successfully adopted and the benefits of the change are realised.
Business change enables organisations to improve and grow, often through better organisational design, restructures or transforming part of its operations.
Change management is the overarching approach taken to move an organisation from the current to a future desirable state using a coordinated and structured approach in collaboration with stakeholders. The goal is to achieve a more productive and efficient organisation, and improve the wellbeing of its community.
Successful change requires a vision that details the reason for change, how it will impact employees, and what the end result will be. People need to have a clear line of sight that helps them see the reason for change, how things will change and how the organisation will improve once the change is implemented effectively.
Examples of recent projects include:
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM)- Business case, tender and selection of a CRM system to underpin Student Recruitment, Student Services and Widening Participation.
- Data Futures– Created and managed the programme of work to support the business and system change to deliver on the university commitments to HEFCE and Office for Students while improving the governance, data quality and access to student data.
- Apprenticeships Management– Develop business case and solution design for a university-wide end-to-end Apprenticeship Management System. Expansion of the Apprenticeship offering was at the heart of the university strategy for increasing revenue. This including forming an apprenticeships student journey and ensuring they had appropriate systems and processes to support them as students.
- Project Foundation– Creation of the business case and programme plan to improve the student experience by supporting business and system changes in areas of student services, student records, engagement, disabilities, recruitment, and support. The aim was to achieve this by adapting, improving, or replacing technology and processes at many stages of the student lifecycle from recruitment to alumni.
- Virtual Learning Environment (VLE)- This programme covered both technology and changes in academic practice to improve the student experience and drive consistency of standards in teaching across all faculties. It included the creation of the business case, requirements gathering and coordination of discussion to create new academic practice standards and principles.
