Expede have a team of experts who specialise in Infrastructure Services, Governance and security, who work with universities and colleges to build and implement strategies for the future.
Infrastructure Services are responsible for implementing, managing and maintaining a wide range of services and the underlying IT infrastructure used daily by staff and students, that is safe and secure.
Its scope ranges from networking, storage, data, security and cloud-based services, desktop and Audio-Visual services – not forgetting the people employed to keep everything working.
Most digital infrastructures are challenged by historic under investment, the increased load that comes from the continued growth in the institution and continual change in organisation’s structure and strategy. Standardisation, simplification and automation need to be key focuses for effective and efficient infrastructure and services.
Examples of recent projects include:
- Teaching Spaces- Design, agreement and approval of new standards. Business case and phase 1 rollout to 400+ teaching spaces. The University was nominated for a Guardian Higher Education award for this project and the supplier won two commercial industry awards.
