It is becoming more important for Institutions to be clear on the student experience they wish to deliver and how they will monitor and manage its successful delivery.
The student experience encompasses many different aspects of student life; academic and intellectual; social and emotional; and the growth of cultural, political, sporting and artistic interests.
Potential students want to know what their student experience could look like if they chose to study there. They will look at a wide range of elements, such as the calibre of the instruction, the atmosphere on campus, extracurricular activities, support services, and more.

Expede have worked with a number of universities to help them develop and implement their vision to improve the student experience, by taking innovative approaches to provide solutions and products.
Examples of recent projects include:
- Student Services- Produced a vision for targeting digital services to students and staff on the university’s major portals: Student Home and Tutor Home. This project aimed to present students with timely information and services that were appropriate to their stage of the student journey.
- Project Foundation– Creation of the business case and programme plan to improve the student experience by supporting business and system changes in areas of student services, student records, engagement, disabilities, recruitment, and support. The aim was to achieve this by adapting, improving, or replacing technology and processes at many stages of the student lifecycle from recruitment to alumni.
- Student Extra- Bring together all non-core and co-curriculum events into a single system with supporting business processes and change to improve the student experience and underpin the Education strategy.
- Building Mobile Learning Capacity– Developed the approach and produced solutions and products for delivering non face to face learning on tablet and mobile devices. The university won a Times Higher and Guardian Higher Education award for this project.
